Cherise is an experienced marketeer, manager, and author with a passion for storytelling and creativity. Alongside her partner Fran, a talented graphic designer, she co-founded Sketched and Wandered—a brand born from a spark of inspiration in a cafe in Borneo and brought to life years later as a creative outlet following a deeply personal journey.
Sketched and Wandered features beautifully designed T-shirts inspired by nature, vintage travel, and art—with plenty of dachshund-themed designs, thanks to Cherise’s love for her small but mighty sidekick, Lola. Every design begins with Fran’s hand-drawn artistry, paired with Cherise’s vision and marketing expertise to turn ideas into reality.
This shop is Cherise and Fran’s second collaboration, following Hop the Kangaroo Dog, a children’s book for adventurous 7-year-olds that Fran illustrated and Cherise authored.
Cherise believes that “people do business with people, not companies,” so she worked with Ironsie to capture some shots that show the real her. Though she admits to disliking being in front of the camera, working with Ironsie was such a comfortable experience that she actually enjoyed this shoot!
